Programme Intended Learning Outcome

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:

  • Apply social science theories and concepts to analyze public management issues and public policy issues and problems;
  • Critically evaluate the socio-political, cultural and technological context of public management and public policy making from humanities and scientific perspective;
  • Formulate and choose policy alternatives to solve public management and policy problems;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of managerial and policy ideas in real setting;
  • Plan and execute academic research; and
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in written form and work effectively in teams.

Studies in public administration and management are designed to help students understand issues of modern governance and the institutions and processes of public policy. It examines the political, institutional, economic, social and ideological forces that shape present-day governance and public policy.
